The 2026 Kentucky Statewide Student Art Show

Open to all Kentucky students in grades K–12 (public, private, and homeschool).
Students do not need to be enrolled in an art class.
All work must be original and created by the student.
No tracings or plagiarized images—these will not be accepted.Existing characters may be used as inspiration, but the artwork must be drawn freehand and not traced.

Drop-off window: March 10–21, 2025
Entry fee: $1 per piece (up to 3 pieces per student)
Each artwork must have its own completed entry form attached to the back.
If the student does not have an art teacher, list a parent/guardian on the teacher line.
Incomplete forms will result in disqualification.

Communication will be sent via email, please ensure your email is legible and checked regularly.
Previously created artwork may be submitted as long as it has been displayed elsewhere—but past entries from any previous GRAC Student Art Show are not eligible.

2D Works
Framed and canvas pieces must be wired for hanging.
Pieces without wiring will not be accepted.
Unframed works will be hung with binder clips.
Foam board, matting, or poster board backing is recommended.
3D / Sculpture
Must be stable, self-supporting, and ready for display.
Sales
Students may price their artwork for sale with parent approval.
GRAC retains a 10% commission; youth artists receive 90% of proceeds.

Delivery
Artwork must be hand-delivered to GRAC staff at:

Late submissions will not be accepted.
Mailed artwork must also arrive by March 21, 2026, before 2:00 PM.
GRAC cannot return mailed pieces—all artwork must be picked up in person.
Pick-Up
Pick-up begins March 27, 2026, after the gallery reception.
Artwork remains on display until April 24, 2026.
All artwork must be picked up by May 9, 2026, by 2:00 PM.
Pieces left after this date become the property of GRAC.
All work must be checked out with a GRAC staff member.
Teachers: please notify your students if you pick up their work.

Grade Bands: K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12
Prizes (per grade band):
1st Place: $100
2nd Place: $75
3rd Place: $50
A total of 12 cash prizes will be awarded.
Student score sheets will not be released..
