The Ruth Hunt Wood Foundation began in 2001 with the goal to advance the appreciation and preservation of contemporary Kenyan art. In collaboration with the Department of Art at the University of Kentucky, ten artists from Kenya have traveled to Kentucky and each artist donated one piece that is now known as The Contemporary Kenyan Art Collection.
